Manaslu Circuit
Overview
Set in the Himalaya west of Kathmandu, Manaslu is one of the least-trekked places in Nepal — a remote area with undisturbed culture and vegetation. The circuit is named after the world's 8th-highest mountain, Manaslu (8,156m). It is a fresh trekking paradise with far fewer trekkers than Everest, Annapurna or Langtang. On the way you pass old villages where most people are originally from Tibet; most are Buddhist, and you'll see old monasteries along the way. October and November bring very colourful vegetation and may be the best time to trek, while April and May are also a good season, when the rhododendron is in bloom.
